Important Gear for Trail Running

You can do trail running with minimal gadgets and gears buy having these gear is important for safety, convenience, and health.

Here are the necessary gear that you must have:

Clothing: of course this should be the primary cause without it you will cause havoc in the streets and I'm definitely certain that cops will arrest you. Choose clothing that has light materials.

Shoes: choose shoes that you are comfortable in running long distance, it can be trail shoes, running shoes etc. Make sure that it offers support and protective sole.

Water bottle: It is very important to keep hydrated. Get a water bottle strap where you can place attach to your arm or waist to free your hands while running. Some also offers additional pockets where you can place your keys, money, or food.

Headlamp or flashlight: this is really essential if you will go trail running at night. Choose LED lights since it is lighter and brighter.

Extra towel, change of clothes, socks, and shoes. Trail Running will get you extremely dirty so it is advisable to have these items for afterwards.

Other stuff that you may consider bringing are:
  • GPS devices to keep you from getting lost.
  • iPod so that you can listen to your favorite music and it can get you pumped up. 
  • Heart rate monitors - important if you have health issues.
